More ways to raise a smile with a Woodmansterne greeting card

We're delighted to announce two NEW ranges to add to our extensive (and very funny) humour selection.


Followers of the very popular "Very British Problems" social media channels and Channel 4 TV programme, will be aware of the (all-too-familiar) awkward dilemmas we face on a day by day basis.  Our new range features 12 cards which perfectly celebrates some of the most recognisable ways we make life difficult for ourselves one rainy day at a time.

VIDEO: The origins of the humble envelope

The gummed envelope is something we all take for granted, but can you imagine giving or receiving a greeting card without it being encased in an envelope? And sending a Birthday or Christmas card through the post would prove especially challenging!

Woodmansterne MD Paul, explains how this staple of modern stationery came about, and who was responsible for its development.

Raising a smile (or two) with our comedy greeting cards

We'll be giving our retailers something to smile about on Stand 317 at this year's PGLive.

Our eye-catching themed stand will be concentrating on our fabulous selection of humour cards.

Headlining alongside our eight existing award winning ranges we will be introducing two fabulous NEW comedy acts, guaranteed to raise a chuckle or three.

Whenever we welcome visitors to our Croxley office they are always fascinated by the processes which go into printing and cutting our cards and the measures we go to to produce a consistently high quality finished greeting card.

So we thought we would give you an insight into what goes on behind the scenes and even share some of our "trade secrets" with you...

What goes into a greeting card?

When making that all-too-important choice of the perfect Woodmansterne card to send, we probably don't give any thought to what the card itself is actually made of.

Woodmansterne pride ourselves on creating the best quality card you can find on the market today, and the composition of the basic material is key to the finished result.  But we are beholden to someone who played a vital role in the development of stationery - someone whose spirit is very close to our hearts.
